The majority of leather is produced using toxic chemicals, namely chromium and arsenic, to make the process as quick and efficient as possible. Safety is what we sacrifice for speed: tannery chemicals are linked to a long list of human and environmental health risks. Harper the Label's leather vegetable tanned with organic matter like bark, seed pods, and leaves, certified by some of the most stringent environmental regulation in the world.
All pieces are evaluated and carbon offset in partnership with Terrapass.
